Result: Justin Makhlouf won the September edition with 66 yards (442.57 km). Lee Warren provided the assist with 65 yards (435.87 km), and Kim Lueck recorded the most yards among women with 37 (248.11 km).

A 100-mile point-to-point crossing of Utah's Wasatch Range with roughly 24,000 ft of climbing, high mountain terrain, and a 36-hour limit.

Result: Kevin Stewart won the men's race in 20:41:09 and Sarah Ostaszewski won the women's race in 25:18:50, with 236 runners finishing inside the 36-hour cutoff.

Dragon's Back Race

A legendary 6-day mountain stage race along the spine of Wales, covering technical terrain from Conwy Castle to Cardiff with 16,400m of ascent.

Result: Danny Smith won the 2026 Dragon's Back Race in 46:59:52 and Isobel Turner won the women's race in 67:46:19, with 116 of 152 entrants completing the route to Cardiff Castle.

EMU 6-Day Race

A major SwissPeaks alpine ultra from Brig to Le Bouveret, with 397km of very technical mountain terrain and multiple life-base aid points.

Result: Robin Fournier won the SwissPeaks Legend in a course-record 79:54:37, the first sub-80-hour finish, while Denise Zimmermann won the women's race.

Transalpine Run

UTMB Mont-Blanc

The 174 km UTMB World Series Final circles Mont Blanc through France, Italy, and Switzerland with about 9,900 m of climbing.

Result: Ben Dhiman won the 2026 UTMB in 18:16:29 and Blandine L'Hirondel won the women's race in 21:54:49, the first sub-22-hour women's time, with 1,680 of 2,407 starters finishing.

SwissPeaks Odyssey

Le Bouveret, Valais, Switzerland · Mountain

SwissPeaks' longest alpine challenge, linking glacier country and Lake Geneva terrain across a technical 643km route for ultra-expert runners.

Result: Vicente "Tito" Parra Hernandez won the SwissPeaks Odyssey in 141:14:38 and Dariia Bodnar won the women's race in 166:56, finishing eighth overall.

Leadville Trail 100 Run

Leadville, Colorado, USA · Mountain

A high-altitude Colorado classic with a 99.7-mile out-and-back course, 15,492 ft of climbing, and a 30-hour limit.

Result: Adrian Macdonald won the Leadville Trail 100 Run in 15:47:23 for his third victory and McKendree Hickory won the women's race in 19:39:12, as 387 of 656 starters finished inside the 30-hour cutoff.

Badwater 135

Death Valley to Mt. Whitney, California, USA · Desert

The world's most iconic ultra — 135 miles through Death Valley in July, from the lowest point in North America (Badwater Basin, -282 ft) to the Mt. Whitney Portal (8,360 ft).

Result: Max Jolliffe won the 2026 Badwater 135 in 20:53:41, the first sub-21-hour finish, and Carmen Maria Perez was the women's winner and second overall in 21:05:32, with 88 of 95 starters finishing.

Six Days in the Dome — 48 Hour

Result: Shawn Cissel won the men's 48-hour race with 283.367 km and Elizabeth Holder won the women's race with 221.727 km, from 20 finishers.

Result: Kyohei Yoshizawa won the men's 6-day race with 801.785 km and Ashley Vuu won the women's 6-day with 282.037 km, from 14 finishers.

Gobi March

Karakorum, Central Mongolia · Desert

The 20th edition of this 250km, 6-stage self-supported race through the Mongolian steppe. Part of the RacingThePlanet 4 Deserts series. Route passes through the UNESCO World Heritage Orkhon Valley.

Result: Elise Lagerstrom won the Gobi March outright in 28:52:37, becoming the first woman to win a 4 Deserts race overall, with Rob Robinson first man in 29:44:48.

IAU 24H Asia & Oceania Championships

Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, Japan · Track

The official IAU continental championship for 24-hour running in the Asia and Oceania region, held at Hirosaki City Sports Park.

Result: Amar Singh Devanda won the men's race with 282.881 km and Miho Nakata won the women's race with 261.170 km, from a field of 81 athletes representing nine federations.

The Old Six Day

Pennsauken, New Jersey, USA · Road

One of the oldest 6-day races in the United States, held at Cooper River Park. A flat, looped course that evokes the Victorian 6-day pedestrianism tradition.

Result: Thomas Joyce won the 6-day race with 405.3916 miles and Jen Britton won the women's 6-day with 241.5469 miles, from 12 finishers in the 6-day contest.

Marathon des Sables

Sahara Desert, Morocco · Desert

The 40th edition of the legendary 'Marathon of the Sands.' A 6-stage, 250km self-supported footrace through the Sahara Desert — widely considered the toughest foot race on Earth.

Result: Mohamed El Morabity won the men's race and Maryline Nakache won the women's race at the 40th edition.

Myrtle Beach 24 Hour Endurance Run

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA · Road

A USATF-certified 1.08-mile paved loop course in The Market Common area. Annual event organized by the City of Myrtle Beach Parks & Recreation.

Result: Pat Hasler won the inaugural race with 252.038 km and Emily Lyons won the women's race with 166.951 km, from 79 finishers.
