This record follows the guidebook. The live tracking link had not been published on October 20. |
| Cutoff | 96 hours (10:00 AM Sunday). Each aid station has a leave-by time based on a 2 mph pace, but the guidebook says these are not hard cutoffs; staff will remind or wake runners when a station is about to close. |
| Start | 10:00 AM Wednesday |
| Field size | No cap is published. UltraSignup listed 57 entrants on October 20, 2026, with 3 spots available. In 2025, 35 runners finished, 21 did not finish and 5 did not start. |

Course & Terrain
Point-to-point from the west end of the Withlacoochee Bay Trail near the Gulf of Mexico to the end of Pope Road in St. Augustine Beach. The organizer gives the mix as 110 miles of Florida Trail, 10 miles of state park trails, 40 miles of dirt roads, 20 miles of rail trail and 20 miles of country roads. The guidebook splits the course into 13 legs that add up to 199.4 miles. New for 2026, there are Crewed and Uncrewed divisions, with awards in both.
Key course features to know before comparing this race:
- Start at the Gulf end of the Withlacoochee Bay Trail
- Lake Rousseau and the Withlacoochee State Trail
- Florida Trail along the Cross Florida Greenway through Santos and Marshall Swamp
- Ocala National Forest past Juniper Springs and Salt Springs to Rodman Dam
- Rice Creek Conservation Area into Palatka
- Palatka-to-St. Augustine rail trail through Hastings
The course is only partly marked. Warrior uses yellow reflective flagging, signs and some “wrong way” signs; on the Florida Trail runners follow the orange blazes, with no flagging. Carrying the GPX file on a watch or phone is mandatory. The guidebook calls the rail trail from Palatka through Hastings the hardest part of the race and asks runners to use sidewalks on the road sections.
The guidebook asks runners to equip themselves for rain, wind, cold and heat over the full 200 miles. Warrior may change the course during the race if weather or conditions require it.
Entry & Logistics
| Registration and fees | Check the official event website for current availability, deadlines, prices, taxes, and refund terms. |
|---|---|
| Qualification | No qualifying race is required. Entry is through UltraSignup and closes at 11:59 PM ET on November 6, 2026. The race page lists $1,000 for registration until July 31, 2026 and $1,100 from August 1; on October 20 UltraSignup charged $1,100 ($1,238 with taxes and fees). There are no refunds; the guidebook offers deferral credit toward any Warrior ultra on a sliding scale (70% more than 90 days out, none within 15 days). |
| Support model | 12 stocked aid stations with water, Gatorade, soda, fruit, chips, candy and filled tortillas or bread, plus five crew-access points with water. Hot food is served at Aid Stations 3, 5, 7, 9, 10 and 11, and sleep stations with 6–8 tents each are at Aid Stations 5, 7, 10 and 11. Runners must check in with staff at every aid station. Adventure Enablers provides the GPS trackers, which every runner must carry. |
| Crew / pacers | Crews are optional, and from 2026 crewed and uncrewed runners race in separate divisions. Support is allowed only at aid stations, designated crew-access points and the finish; crews must follow aid station parking instructions, and a crew that breaks the law or jeopardizes the permit gets its runner disqualified on the first offense. Pacers are not allowed before Aid Station 5, must sign a waiver and wear a pacer bib, and pay no fee in 2026. Runners and pacers must wear an orange safety vest from Aid Station 6 to Aid Station 11. |
| Drop bags | Up to 12 drop bags in total, two 2-gallon Ziploc bags per station, for Aid Stations 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12. Bags are accepted at both packet pickups, and staff move them forward to the next assigned station, so fast runners may arrive before their bags. |
| Logistics note | East Coast packet pickup is 4:00–6:00 PM on Tuesday, November 10 at the Hilton Garden Inn St. Augustine Beach. A paid shuttle leaves the St. Johns County Pier Pavilion at 5:30 AM on Wednesday for the three-hour drive to the start. West Coast pickup is 8:00–9:30 AM on Wednesday at the Withlacoochee Bay Trail parking in Inglis, followed by tracker handout at 9:00 and the briefing at 9:30. The finish is at the end of Pope Road (105 Pope Rd, St. Augustine Beach), and runners return the tracker there or when they withdraw. A limited shuttle helps runners who drop. |
Why This Race Matters
The Across Florida 200 is a supported 200-mile trail race across the whole state, coast to coast. Runners fill a sand bottle halfway on the Gulf coast, carry it across Florida and top it up with sand from the Atlantic side. Warrior Ultras routes it along the Cross Florida Greenway and through the Ocala National Forest, with 110 miles on the Florida Trail. DUV lists the November 2025 race as the first edition and the 2026 race as the second. In 2025, UltraSignup recorded 35 finishers, 18 of them women, and 21 non-finishers.
Historical benchmark notes in the directory record (verify current records with the linked official sources):
- Men: the organizer’s 2026 guidebook and race page list Fred Soly’s 46:04:18 as the course record. UltraSignup files that time under its 2024 “Virtual 200 Miler” listing, and its race page instead calls Julian Long’s 57:49:37 from 2025 the official men’s fastest time.
- Women: Ashley Gabbert, 64:11:48 in 2025, third overall (the race page shows 64:11:00).
- 2025: Julian Long won in 57:49:37 ahead of Jeff Iosa (60:55:10) and Ashley Gabbert (64:11:48). 35 runners finished.
- Prize money: $1,000 each to the fastest man and woman, and another $1,000 to any runner who beats the course record.
Preparing for a Race Like Across Florida 200
The 200-mile race guide covers the format as a whole. These guides go deeper:
- 200-mile race strategy: Pacing, sleep loss, aid stations, navigation, crew and feet, with a worked Moab 240 plan.
- Sleep strategy for multiday races: An individual sleep plan with safe locations and clear stop criteria.
- Crew and aid-station strategy: Crew tables, aid stops, drop bags and runner preferences.
- Foot-care kit for multiday running: Tape, lube, socks, blister pads and simple hot-spot rules.
Best Fit
- Runners who want a fully supported 200-mile point-to-point
- Runners comfortable navigating a partly marked course with a GPX track
- Uncrewed runners, who have their own division from 2026
Planning Notes
- Prepare for sleep decisions, weather swings, and aid-station discipline. The distance is only one part of a multi-day fixed-distance race.
- Train for terrain-specific fatigue. Technical trails and mountain courses demand downhill durability, hiking efficiency, and reliable night lighting.
- The directory does not mark this as having simpler logistics. Confirm qualification, terrain, support, registration, medical, and withdrawal requirements before planning around it.
- Runners without an orange vest cannot continue past Aid Station 6
- Any runner who needs an IV, EMS or search and rescue is disqualified
- Runners may sleep in a crew vehicle only at an aid station
- Drop bags may not keep pace with fast runners
- Aid Station 8 (Shady Lake Trailhead) can be hard for crews to reach because of sand
