The record so far
Tamás Bódis won the 2026 Spartathlon in 19:40:51, his second title after 2019. The official results database places Fotis Zisimopoulos second in 20:32:41 and Tomi Ronkainen third in 21:26:36. Bódis improved Zisimopoulos’s official 2023 course record of 19:55:09 by 14 minutes and 18 seconds.
Bódis won the 2019 Spartathlon in 23:29:32 and, one month later, took silver at the IAU 24-Hour World Championships with 276.221 kilometers. He improved his 24-hour best to a Hungarian record of 279.780 kilometers while placing fourth at the 2025 world championship.
His 2026 season included an Ultrabalaton course record of 15:44:45, a 6:20:01 national 100 km record, a 93.901-kilometer national six-hour record, and second place among men at the Badwater 135.
