The record so far
Norman Mascher-Aspensjö is a German ultrarunner from Berlin who competes for SCC Berlin. His public record covers road ultras, timed events, and championship racing, with national titles in the 24-hour run in both 2024 and 2025.
His 243.247 km performance at Gotha in June 2025 improved on the 223.150 km that won the previous year’s German title. Earlier results show strong speed over fixed distances, including a 7:42:47 victory at the 2022 WHEW 100 km and a 14:45:40 win at the 100 Meilen Berlin in the same year.
Mascher-Aspensjö has also recorded 125 km over 12 hours and continued to race at national-championship level over 50 km. The breadth of those results connects road speed with sustained fixed-time endurance.
In August 2026 he completed 80 yards, about 536.5 km, for third place at Last Soul Ultra 2.0; the organizer’s classification describes him as the last runner in the race apart from the final two. He is on Germany’s 15-runner roster for the 2026 World Team Championship, which starts on October 17, and finished Spartathlon in 28:37:24 in September 2026.
