Suprabha Beckjord

Suprabha Beckjord is an American multiday runner who completed every edition of the Self-Transcendence 3,100 Mile Race from 1997 through 2009. Her 13 consecutive finishes remain the women’s record for completed editions, totaling 40,300 race miles.

In the inaugural 1997 race, Beckjord finished second overall in 50 days, 2 hours, 9 minutes, and 56 seconds. She improved to 49 days, 14 hours, 30 minutes, and 54 seconds in 1998, a women’s world best at the time and still fourth on the official women’s all-time list published through 2025.

Before the 3,100-mile event began, Beckjord won the 1988 Sri Chinmoy 700 Mile Race outright and completed the 2,700-mile race in 1996. Her progression through seven-day, 1,300-mile, 2,700-mile, and 3,100-mile events helped establish the early women’s history of fixed-distance multiday running.
