The record so far

Sarah Webster is a British road and track ultrarunner representing Northern (Isle of Man) Athletic Club. At the 2025 IAU 24-Hour World Championships in Albi, she covered 278.622 km to win the women’s title and set the world record.

The performance followed a rapid progression through international ultra distances. Webster ran 243.393 km at her first 24-hour race in Crawley in April 2025, took bronze at the 2024 IAU 100 km World Championships, and recorded 3:20:07 at the 2023 IAU 50 km World Championships.

Those results connect international-level speed at 50 km and 100 km with record-setting fixed-time endurance over 24 hours.
