Kilian Jornet is a Spanish mountain runner and alpinist based in Norway. His ultrarunning record includes victories across the Alps and the American West, while his mountain projects link major summits entirely on foot and by bicycle.
Jornet has won UTMB four times, in 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2022. His 19:49:30 finish in 2022 was a course record at the time, and that same season he established a 21:36:24 Hardrock course record.
In 2025, Jornet completed States of Elevation, connecting 72 of the highest peaks in the contiguous United States over 31 days. The project covered 5,145 kilometers under human power and followed his 2024 linkup of all 82 Alpine 4,000-meter peaks.
