Katie Schide is a two-time UltraRunner of the Year whose major wins include UTMB, Western States, Hardrock, and the 2025 World Long Trail Championship.
Katie Schide is an American ultrarunner based in the French Alps. Her results span highly competitive 100-kilometer races, mountain 100-milers, and international trail championships.
In 2024, Schide won the Canyons 100K, Western States 100, and UTMB in the same season. Her 22:09:31 at UTMB established a women’s course record, while her 15:46:57 at Western States was the second-fastest women’s finish in race history at the time.
Schide followed that campaign by winning Madeira Island Ultra-Trail, setting a women’s counterclockwise Hardrock record of 25:50:23, and taking the 2025 World Long Trail title. UltraRunning Magazine voted her women’s UltraRunner of the Year for both 2024 and 2025.
