Ellie Greenwood won two 100 km world titles, two Western States titles, and the 2014 Comrades Marathon during a landmark ultrarunning career.

The record so far
Ellie Greenwood is a British-born ultrarunner based in North Vancouver, Canada. Her career combined elite road speed with championship wins and course records across trail distances from 50 kilometers to 100 miles.
Greenwood won the IAU 100 km World Championships in 2010 and 2014. She also won Western States in 2011 and 2012; her 16:47:19 finish in 2012 broke Ann Trason's long-standing women's record and remained the course benchmark until 2023.
Her 2014 Comrades victory in 6:18:15 made her the first British woman to win the race. Greenwood's range also included victories at CCC, JFK 50 Mile, Les Templiers, and numerous competitive North American 50-kilometer events.
