Phil Gore holds the current backyard world best. At Dead Cow Gully in June 2025 he completed 119 yards, or 495.8 miles, before winning the Big’s individual world championship four months later with 114 yards.
Gore also has elite fixed-time and trail results. He set an Oceania 24-hour best of 270.826 km in Taipei in 2024, won the 2023 Delirious W.E.S.T. 100-mile race, and added a 100-mile victory at the 2026 Gamania Coast to Peak Ultramarathon.
