Phil Gore holds the official Backyard Ultra world record. At Dead Cow Gully in June 2025, he completed 119 yards, or 495.8 miles, before winning the Big’s individual world championship four months later with 114 yards.
Gore also has elite fixed-time and trail results. He set an Oceania 24-hour best of 270.826 km in Taipei in 2024, won the 2023 Delirious W.E.S.T. 100-mile race, and added a 100-mile victory at the 2026 Gamania Coast to Peak Ultramarathon.
