Matti Jonkka is a Finnish ultrarunner whose published record combines fixed-time road racing with long trail events. He progressed from 211.612 kilometers over 24 hours in 2020 to a national record and world championship medal five years later.
At the 2025 IAU 24-Hour World Championships, Jonkka covered 283.699 kilometers to take the men’s bronze medal and establish a Finnish record. His result also led the Finnish scoring trio that won the men’s team world title with a combined 797.030 kilometers.
