The record so far

Kim Gottwald is a young German ultra-endurance athlete whose published record is centered on last-person-standing competition. The organizer’s 2025 Last Soul results list him as winner and Ayyoub “Ello” El Osrouti as assist, both with 67 yards. That is an unusual result: under standard backyard rules, the winner has to complete one more yard than anyone else.

Gottwald also shared the win at the weather-shortened 2025 Go One More Ultra, where lightning stopped the race after 56 loops with him and Kendall Picado Fallas still running, and completed 58 loops for third place in 2026.
