Listed qualification and support details
Registration and feesCheck the official event website for current availability, deadlines, prices, taxes, and refund terms.
QualificationNo qualifying result is needed, but entry is by random lottery. For 2027 the lottery opened at 12:00 PM CDT on October 19 and closed at 11:59 PM CDT on October 23, 2026, and signup order made no difference. Every runner had to register personally, with a card that is charged only if selected, automatically on announcement day. Entry is $225 plus taxes and fees, $243.89 in total on Race Roster. BPN scheduled the selection announcement for October 28, 2026 on YouTube, with an email to every entrant the same day. There are no refunds, deferrals or bib exchanges. Big’s race page lists Go One More as a Bronze race, and its yards count toward Big’s At-Large list for the 2027 individual championship, which ranks results between August 16, 2025 and August 15, 2027.
Crew / pacersNo pacers and no spectators. The 2027 Race Roster listing allows four crew members per runner.
Logistics noteBPN gives the venue only as Bare Ranch, Texas. Run Time and Find Your Edge place Nick Bare’s ranch in Liberty Hill, northwest of Austin; Big’s race page and Yardlore give Round Rock. BPN’s race page says Mountain Outpost will cover the race around the clock, and BPN posts race announcements on its YouTube channel.

Why This Race Matters

Bare Performance Nutrition (BPN), Nick Bare’s supplement company, holds Go One More on Bare Ranch, his property in Texas, and Find Your Edge counted the 2026 race as the sixth edition. In 2025 it ran over Memorial Day weekend in heat that reached 98°F, and a severe thunderstorm stopped it after 56 completed loops, about 235.2 miles, with Kim Gottwald of Germany and Kendall Picado Fallas of Costa Rica both still running. The two were declared joint winners. The 2026 race moved to April. Mark Dowdle won it with 73 yards, about 490 km, after he and Picado Fallas finished the 72nd yard with 13 seconds to spare; Picado Fallas’s 72 is a Costa Rican national record, and Gottwald was third with 58. Dowdle went on to win the 2026 Last Soul Ultra with 94 yards and Team USA’s race at the World Team Championship with 107.

Historical benchmark notes in the directory record (verify current records with the linked official sources):

  • Course record: 73 yards, Mark Dowdle (USA), April 2026, about 490 km. Kendall Picado Fallas (Costa Rica) was the assist with 72, a Costa Rican national record.
  • 2025: stopped by lightning after 56 completed loops (235.2 miles); Kim Gottwald (Germany) and Kendall Picado Fallas shared the win.
  • Most yards by a woman in 2026: 37, Bryony Keys, ahead of Lauren Osborne (36) and Jill Dennes (28), according to Find Your Edge.

Preparing for a Race Like BPN Go One More Ultra

The backyard ultra race guide covers the format as a whole. These guides go deeper:

Best Fit

  • Runners who want a large American backyard with no qualifying standard
  • Runners adding At-Large yards for Big’s 2027 in the spring
  • Runners who want their race covered live around the clock

Planning Notes

  • Practice the exact hourly routine: loop, eat, foot check, bottle refill, and back to the start. The format rewards repeatability.
  • Train for terrain-specific fatigue. Technical trails and mountain courses demand downhill durability, hiking efficiency, and reliable night lighting.
  • The directory marks this as having comparatively simpler logistics. That editorial label is not a safety rating; verify cutoffs, terrain, support, crew access, and withdrawal procedures.
  • The 2027 lottery has closed, and there is no open registration
  • No refunds, deferrals or bib exchanges: a place you cannot use is lost
  • No pacers, no spectators and no more than four crew
  • Late-May heat and storms: 98°F and a race-ending thunderstorm in 2025
