The record so far
Bartosz Fudali is a Polish ultrarunner whose strongest published results span backyard, 48-hour, and six-day competition. His progression includes national-level wins, international podiums, and performances beyond 400 kilometers over 48 hours.
At the 2023 Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra, Fudali completed 103 yards, or 690.718 kilometers, and placed third overall, a Polish record at the time. He returned to the event in 2025 and completed 61 yards. The official pre-race roster listed him on Poland’s team for the 2026 Backyard Ultra World Team Championship, which started on October 17, 2026.
Fudali won the 2024 GOMU 48-Hour World Championship in Balatonfüred and placed second at that year’s GOMU Six Day World Championship with 842.096 kilometers. He won the 2025 Taipei 48-hour race with 441.069 kilometers, described by the IAU race report as Polish national and event records, then finished second behind Matthieu Bonne’s 485.099 km world record at the 2025 GOMU 48-Hour World Championship in Pabianice; his 465.352 kilometers are listed by the IAU as the current M35 48-hour world record. He won the GOMU 48-Hour World Championship again in 2026.
