Local start time: 12:01 AM Saturday (runners leave Camp Bethel for the start at 10:50 PM Friday)
Duration / cutoff: 18 hours (6:01 PM Saturday), with cutoffs at Headforemost Mountain (Floyd's Field, mile 22.5) by 6:40 AM and Bearwallow Gap (mile 42.5) by 12:30 PM. The organizer says the Headforemost cutoff may change depending on where that aid station is placed.
Crew and pacers: Crews may meet runners at every aid station except the first, third and sixth, which the course overview linked from the organizer's site names as Forest Service Road 35, Camping Gap and Little Cove Mountain. The organizer asks crews to drive slowly on the gravel roads between aid stations. The 2026 application does not mention pacers.
Drop bags: Only for runners without a crew: one drop bag, available at Floyd's Field (mile 22.5) and then moved to Bearwallow Gap (mile 42.5).
