Crew and pacers

Crews may meet runners only at Iron Peak, Beverly Turnpike and Miller Peak, each a walk from crew parking (uphill to Iron Peak and Beverly Turnpike, flat to Miller Peak). Pacers are allowed from Miller Peak, mile 46.3, for the return half and must register online or at the race before joining. They are there for safety and encouragement only and may not carry gear or give any material support; runners who take aid from crew or pacers anywhere other than a crew station can be disqualified. Teanaway and Orcas Island are the only Rainshadow races that allow pacers.

Drop bags

Drop bags are allowed only at the three crew stations, Iron Peak (miles 28.7 and 71.3), Beverly Turnpike (35.7 and 64.3) and Miller Peak (46.3 and 53.7), and are handed in at the 4:00 AM race-morning check-in. Rainshadow advises keeping spare layers in them for the swing from warm afternoons to freezing nights.
