- Crew and pacers
- Each runner may have one crew vehicle, identified by a dash card collected Friday, and car swaps at or near aid stations are banned. Crews can reach High Rock (odd bib numbers only), Shoal Creek (even only), Horseblock, Cheaha Lake, Silent Trail, Adams Gap, Porters Gap (odd only), Pinnacle (even only), Bulls Gap, Watershed and the finish. At Silent Trail crews park at the Turnipseed lot and walk 0.4 mile in; driving that forest road gets the runner disqualified. All four tires must be off the roadway because the Forest Service can ticket, and crews may help only within 100 feet of an aid station. Cheaha State Park crew passes ($5 adults, $2 children and seniors, free for veterans and military) are bought in cash at packet pickup. One pacer at a time may join from Cheaha Lake (mile 43.5), with later pickups at Silent Trail, Adams Gap, Porters Gap, Pinnacle, Bulls Gap and Watershed; pacers must check in, and muling brings disqualification.
- Drop bags
- Runners get one drop bag each at Morgan Lake (mile 28.2), Cheaha Lake (43.5), Adams Gap (57.1), Porters Gap (70.6) and Bulls Gap (88.0). Bags are accepted only at packet pickup, Friday 3:00–7:00 PM at the Sylaward Trailhead, and must be labeled with bib number and station name. The size limit is 16 × 16 inches and 8 inches deep, and black garbage bags, backpacks, 5-gallon buckets, duffels, shoe boxes and plastic containers are refused. Bags return to the finish as each station closes; runners who drop can collect them at an aid station with their crew, and nothing is mailed afterward.
