- Crew and pacers
- Crews can meet runners at Sutton Bluff (mile 14.0), Brooks Creek (40.0), Hazel Creek (65.4), Berryman Campground (78.6), Henpeck Hollow (94.4) and the finish, and nowhere else; taking aid at other road crossings can get a runner disqualified. Crews stay at least 10 feet from the aid tables, park on one side of the road only, may not smoke within 300 feet of an aid station, and may not drive past the Brooks Creek or Henpeck Hollow stations. Pacers may start at Brooks Creek, one at a time; runners 60 and older may have a pacer from the start if they notify the race director by 6:00 PM on the Friday before the race. After crossing Courtois Creek inside Bass River Resort, a runner may bring in any number of pacers. Bicycle and horse pacing are banned, and the race provides neither pacers nor pacer shuttles.
- Drop bags
- Drop bags go to Sutton Bluff (mile 14.0), Gunstock Hollow (31.3), Highway DD (47.2), Hazel Creek (65.4), Berryman Campground (78.6), Henpeck Hollow (94.4) and the finish. Bags must be left at the designated area at Bass River Resort between 2:00 and 7:00 PM on Friday, October 30, with no drop-off at the start or on race morning. Label each with name, bib number and aid station; the organizer suggests waterproof bags no bigger than about 1.5 gallons unless they hold shoes or warm night clothes. A bag marked START can carry clothing for the bus ride and is returned to the finish. All bags are back at the finish by 2:00 PM Sunday and must be collected by 4:00 PM; mailing a forgotten bag costs a $50 handling fee plus postage.
