Crew and pacers
Each runner may have one crew vehicle, which must display a crew pass from bib pickup or the Clackamas aid station. Crews are allowed only at Olallie Lake (mile 12.2), Clackamas (40.4 and 71.7), the Timothy Lake dam (67.7), Olallie Meadows (97.7) and the finish; help anywhere else disqualifies the runner. Allow about 1 hour 30 minutes to drive between Olallie Lake and the Clackamas Ranger Station, and at Olallie Meadows park only on the east side of Road 4220, a 0.1-mile walk from the aid station. Pacers may start at Clackamas on the second pass (mile 71.7), for almost 30 miles with no crew access until Olallie Meadows, or at Olallie Meadows for the final 3.6 miles. They sign a waiver and collect a bib at the aid station, run one at a time, may carry supplies for their runner and must arrange their own transport; a pacer who stops partway waits at the aid station until it closes.
Drop bags
Drop bags go to Olallie Lake (mile 12.2) and Clackamas (miles 40.4 and 71.7) and come back to the finish by 2 PM Sunday. One bag per aid station, no larger than 21 liters, clearly labeled with name and bib number, securely closed and ideally waterproof; no paper bags, boxes or glass. Pacers cannot have their own bags and must use their runner’s.
