- Distance
- 100 mi
- Local start time
- 6:00 AM Saturday
- Duration / cutoff
- 36 hours
- Crew and pacers
- Crews can meet runners at Lake Fork (miles 19.7 and 82.4), South Crestline (29.5, at least a quarter-mile walk from parking), Upper Payette Lake (55.7), Snowslide (70.8), Boulder Lake Trailhead (94.0) and the finish; Louie Lake, the 45th Parallel, North Crestline and Duck Lake are off-limits. That leaves about 26 miles between crew points across the Crestline. Crews may hike out on course but cannot hand over anything outside an aid station, not even a sip of water, and must drive slowly to keep dust off roads shared with runners. Pacers may join at Upper Payette Lake, Snowslide, Lake Fork 2 or Boulder Lake, one at a time, wearing a pacer bib and checking in and out with the HAM operators. Muling is banned and disqualifies the runner. Dogs may wait leashed at crew spots but may not run the course.
- Drop bags
- Bags go in labeled piles at the start area on Friday evening or race morning, not at packet pickup. They can be sent to Lake Fork 1 and 2, South Crestline, North Crestline, Upper Payette Lake, Snowslide and Boulder Lake; Louie Lake takes only a labeled headlamp, and Duck Lake has none (Snowslide is 4.65 road miles later). Keep each bag to roughly shoebox size, label it with bib number, name and aid station, and make it fully weatherproof, since bags may sit out in rain, sleet or snow.
