Plan Fat Ox Endurance Runs
Use the listed edition as your starting point. Each tool keeps imported race facts separate from the targets and assumptions you choose.
Edition notes: Online registration closes November 16 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time. The 48-hour race starts November 20 at 8:00 AM; the USATF 24-Hour Championship starts November 21 at 8:00 AM. The organizer also lists race-day registration from 7:00 AM.
- Listed edition
- Nov 20, 2026 – Nov 22, 2026
- Format
- 48-Hour
- Distance
- 48 hr / 24 hr / 100 mi
- Local start time
- 8:00 AM Friday (48 hours); 8:00 AM Saturday (USATF 24-hour championship)
- Duration / cutoff
- 48 hours for the headline race. All races end at 8:00 AM on Sunday, November 22, so the 100 miles, which starts at 9:00 AM Friday, has up to 47 hours. The multiday runs have no DNFs and allow no drop-downs: runners simply go as far as they can in the time.
- Crew and pacers
- Pacers are not allowed in any Fat Ox race. Family and friends can spectate, and crews get a designated area beside the course, where runners can also set up their own table, chairs and pop-up tent at no charge. For the USATF Championship, crew tents must be within 100 meters either side of the main aid station.
- Drop bags
- There are no remote drop bags. Each runner keeps a personal drop bag in the crew area beside the loop, which comes around every 0.988 miles.
