Plan Across the Years

Use the listed edition as your starting point. Each tool keeps imported race facts separate from the targets and assumptions you choose.

Edition notes: Registration is open on UltraSignup at late-tier prices, for example $795 for the 6-day, $470 for 72 hours, $325 for 48 hours and $250 for 24 hours, before tax and fees. Online registration closes Sunday, December 20 at 11:59 PM PT; Aravaipa also offers a mail-in entry form, a payment plan and race-day registration at the venue. No field caps are published. On October 20 the 2026–27 live results button on the organizer page had no link yet. UltraSignup’s race-day text names “Saturday, December 27” (2:00–6:00 PM) and 7:00 AM to noon each morning, while the organizer page lists check-in on Sunday, December 27 and race-day registration from 7:00 to 10:00 AM; December 27, 2026 is a Sunday.

Listed edition
Dec 28, 2026 – Jan 3, 2027
Format
48-Hour
Distance
6 days; 72, 48, 24, 12 and 6 hr; 200 mi, 100 mi, 100 km, marathon; Last Person Standing
Local start time
9:00 AM each day from Monday, December 28 to Saturday, January 2, with a runner briefing at 8:45 AM. The 100 km starts at 9:15 AM on December 28 and the Last Person Standing at noon on Thursday, December 31.
Duration / cutoff
Each fixed-time race ends exactly 6 days, 72, 48, 24, 12 or 6 hours after its 9:00 AM start, and the last ones finish at 9:00 AM on Sunday, January 3. The 200-mile cutoff is 9:00 AM on January 3 for every start day, which leaves 96 hours for December 30 starters. 100-mile runners have 72 hours if they start December 28–31 and 48 hours if they start January 1. The 100 km and the marathon have 24-hour cutoffs.
Crew and pacers
Pacers are not allowed. Ten guest bibs let a family member or friend accompany a runner for a single lap, one guest at a time, and runners who take guests out repeatedly will be asked to stop. Runners chasing a record may not be accompanied at all, and Last Person Standing runners may not have guests. Crews work from the runner’s own tent, table or RV beside the course.
Drop bags
No drop bags: runners keep their gear in their own tent, canopy or RV beside the loop. Aravaipa rents a 12 × 8 ft tent for $65 ($85 with one cot, $105 with two), a sleeping bag for $30 and a 6 ft table for $25, plus tax.
