Oxfam Ultrachallenge - Taupo 8-9 April

Wednesday March 1, 2006

Help overcome poverty and injustice - be a volunteer Oxfam Trailranger!
Oxfam Trailwalker is NZ's first ever charity ultrachallenge. It will take place in Taupo over the weekend of 8-9 April 2006. The challenge for our 800 participants is to complete 100kms in 36 hours as a team of four. Funds raised from the event will support Oxfam New Zealand's humanitarian, development and advocacy work to lift some of the world's poorest people out of poverty. Our challenge to you is to become part of this heroic endeavor by becoming a volunteer Oxfam Trailranger.
Trailranger roles include Trail Marking, Registration, Checkpoint Coordination, Trail Marshal, Driver, Parking Marshal and Equipment Crew. The opportunity also exists for physiotherapists, podiatrists and massage therapists. Volunteers will receive an Oxfam t-shirt, a meal for their 8 hour shift and a Hero’s reward as a token of our appreciation. All Volunteers also go in the draw to win a pamper weekend for 2 at a Taupo thermal resort.
